Hello familia!! I know it has been a while but I am finally back. I probably won’t be posting as often as I wanted too but definitely won’t wait another mes for the next post.
This week I want to share with you my little one’s one year photo session. Definitely a fun and new experience for us.
Mi hermana, who does photography as a hobby, took his pictures. Together we decided to have fun with a DIY mini photo shoot.
We bought rubber duckies and a helium tank that came with 30 balloons from Walmart. We also bought fadeless paper roll from Michaels, taking advantage of a 50% off coupon I found online. WOOT WOOT. LOVE discounts! And the pastel was actually made by my older sister.
The rest of the items were things I had around the house. You don’t always have to go out and buy when your house is filled with things you can use as props.
My sister chose the room with the best lighting for the cake smash and bath tub pictures which turned out to be my mother’s workspace in the sunroom. We used tin foil wrapped around a hula hoop and an aluminum sunshade to add more light where needed. The rest of the fotos were taken in my parent’s backyard.
It was a messy, stressful but fun photo shoot!
Thank you to my sisters and parents for all their help!!! We love the pictures!

Hi Maria! We used 48″ x 12ft. Fadeless paper from Michael’s. And I think we used 6 inch cakes. 🙂

Hi! I’m wanting to do this for my baby. Did you have any issues with the paper wrinkling as the baby moved around on it?

Hi Lauren! It does wrinkle up pretty fast but it wrinkled up mainly when when I was setting it up instead of when my little one was moving around. The paper is heavy enough to keep still while the little one moves.
